Please note the following important points that came out of the AGM :-

1. The AGM voted its approval of increasing the Annual Subscriptions by £10 for Full Seniors and Concessions. This means Full Senior Membership for 2025 will become £110 and Concessionary Full Senior Membership becomes £60 for 2025.

There will be no increase to the Annual Subscription for Full Juniors ( this will remain at £10 for 2025) and no increase for Young Full Members – ie those aged 16 and up to 18 – ( this will remain at £50 for 2025).

An increase in Senior Day Ticket cost by £1 to £10 was also approved. Junior Day ticket cost remains unadjusted at £3.

2. The AGM voted its approval of amending Rules 5 and Rule 30 – the adjusted rules will be shown on the website for the 2025 Season in due course. Please make yourself aware of the changes before fishing in Season 2025.

3. It was also explained to the AGM attendees that the Committee had decided to cease the automatic issue of Photo IDs when you purchase your new season’s membership. This decision will save the Association sizeable sums of money each and every year ( the approximate cost to the Association for each Photo ID being £5). Bailiffs doing Membership checks will be able to access the Association’s Membership database – which is held on the Clubmate computer system – and view the Member’s headshot photo and proof of payment that will be held on record.

Members will also be able to show to Bailiffs other supportive evidence such as the email confirmation they receive when making their Membership purchase – Bailiffs will still however review the photo held on record as part of their check to ensure everything is in order.

The Committee recognise that some Members may still like to have a Photo ID in their possession when fishing NAFA waters and to accommodate this then when Members purchase their annual membership they will also be able to purchase a Photo ID. This further purchase is left to the Member’s personal choice and is not mandatory. The cost of the additional purchase will be a further £5 on top of the Annual Subscription. Details of how conduct this further purchase will be given to Members in due course by email. Please keep an eye open for this email which will be sent out before 01/12/24 – ie when 2025 Memberships can be first purchased.
